2021-2022 EDITION

The pandemic has challenged all of us, but on sustainability it has also acted as an accelerator, making it the first driver of a new Renaissance of the supply chain.

What do data tell us about it? The 4sustainability Event focuses on one of the distinguishing factors of the 4s mark and therefore precisely on data, those performance indicators that are also the key element of our approach to sustainability.

The picture they give us rewards the most visionary supply chain of “prime numbers”, meaning the companies that have seen sustainability as a competitive factor and have made it their own, committing to building a business model capable of integrating the needs of present with the protection of our future.

In 2021, the continuing pandemic did not allow us to return to the entirely in-person format that made our annual event a success, with the numbers we were used to (> 300). A completely virtual format, on the other hand, would have sacrificed those components of entertainment and networking that have always been the added value of our events. So, why not split the 2021 edition into two parts, dedicating the first one, via web, to analysis and debate and organizing a in-person meeting in June 2021 in Florence to look into each other’s eyes again, to strengthen old relationships and build new ones? The answer is the format in two acts of Prime numbers. The sustainable Renaissance of the fashion supply chain, which interprets the hybrid mode in an unusual way trying to overcome its limits.

An agile three-hour program to present and analyze the performance data of the fashion supply chain. The study takes into consideration a representative sample of 100 companies that are pursuing the transformation of their business model through the 4sustainability framework.
This first part of the scenario was followed by a debate between six prestigious international guests, each testimonial of one of the initiatives in which the framework is structured: Materials, Chem, Cycle, Trace, People, Planet.
Conclusions included a works synthesis and an overview of the challenges that fashion brands and companies are called to face to support the fashion system transition toward fairer and more sustainable business models.

This year, we are also expanding the debate to supply chains other than the Italian one, with the confirmed presence of ZDHC and Textile Exchange and the unprecedented participation of BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association). The panel of speakers and panelists expected in Florence also includes Brachi, Consorzio Promozione Filati, Gruppo Florence, HUGO BOSS, Renoon, Sistema Moda Italia, Successori Reda, The ID Factory, Matteo Marzotto, Anna Maria Tartaglia, and Matteo Ward.
